When Itraveled back to Sweden after attending the 2022 Indianapolis 500, I picked up a copy of a local newspaper to read on the flight. In an article about Marcus Ericsson’s spectacular win the day before, there was a comment about him weaving on the final straightaway to shake off his competitors; apparently, that move had a name: “The Dragon.” An hour later, I had the first draft of the film that would become “Unleashing the Dragon” ready.
The idea was to give viewers an inside look into just how much goes into winning an event like the Indy 500, not only from Marcus's perspective but also from everyone involved in making it happen, including his team and his competitors.
